About Fiestalegre
We help organizations build communities that are not only effective, but meaningful, culturally grounded, and built to last.
The Name
Fiestalegre is a mashup of two Spanish words, Fiesta and Alegre, which means Happy Party. It's also a legacy.
For more than thirty years, Fiestalegre Promotions has thrown the Día de San Juan Festival in Long Beach, California, a cornerstone of the West Coast Salsa community built by our founder's uncle, Benny Garcia. Three decades of music, familia, and people showing up for each other year after year.
That's community work. Nobody called it that. It just was.
In March 2024, we asked permission to carry the name forward. The answer came back immediately: "Of course, papi. You're familia."
Fiestalegre Community Consulting is that same work, in a different room.
Community isn't a tactic. It's a legacy you carry forward.
What We Believe
Somewhere along the way, "community" got flattened into a platform, a channel, a line item. Brands started promising belonging while delivering monetized proximity, and audiences noticed.
We take the opposite position. Community is an ecosystem: shaped by culture, powered by relationships, and sustained by intentional design. It's a business discipline and a cultural responsibility at the same time.
Where many consultants focus on platforms, we focus on people.
We help clients build communities that
Our Approach
Root. Design. Activate. Sustain. Amplify. Five stages that move a community from intention to impact, and keep it from stalling once the launch buzz wears off.
Founder

Jeff Roe has spent fifteen years building communities for brands including SiriusXM, Meta, Best Buy, H&R Block, Bayer, and independent creators working with a fraction of the budget and twice the urgency.
An Irish Nuyorican born in Manhattan and raised in Jersey City, he came up in Hip-Hop culture and never left it, because Hip-Hop is where Jeff learned what community actually looks like: cyphers, crews, block parties, and people building something out of nothing because nobody handed them a table.
Build your own table when you're not invited to someone else's.

His commitment to the culture isn't just personal history, it's formal practice. Jeff is a Certified Hip-Hop Cultural Specialist, having studied the original intent of Hip-Hop under the tutelage of KRS-One and the Temple of Hip Hop, the philosophical society established in 1994 to preserve and advance Hip-Hop as a way of life.
Jeff currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Consultants Collective, a collaborative space where experienced community consultants and those considering a career pivot into consulting learn from and regularly connect with one another.
In 2025, Jeff launched Beats, Rhymes y Comunidad, a podcast series that explores how the principles of community building are reshaping the worlds of business, entertainment, and art.

In honor of his heritage as a proud Puerto Rican, Jeff is a Donor Member of PRS Fest (Puerto Rock Steady), founded by Richard "Crazy Legs" Colon, President of the Rock Steady Crew. His membership supports ELEMENTOS, an initiative documenting Latino contributions to the four elements of Hip-Hop for cultural preservation, with work archived in the Cornell University Hip-Hop Collection.
This is the foundation the work is built on. When Fiestalegre says community and culture are inseparable, it's not a positioning statement. It's a discipline Jeff has trained in and lives by.
